-Wind Ensemble rehearsal starts at 7:45 AM
-Algebra 1 STAAR (if you are taking this STAAR test, just report to your testing room at the assigned time)
-Fine arts signing day
-Honors Band rehearsal until 4:30 PM

Thursday, May 1st:
-Wind Ensemble rehearsal starts at 7:30 AM on stage. Everyone needs to be present and on time and in their blue band T-shirt.

-Spring Concert 6:00 PM in GHS Auditorium
-First installment of band fees are due. Please see the Letter of Intent and Spring/Summer checklist for additional guidance.
Friday, May 2nd:
-Wind Ensemble rehearsal starts at 7:30 AM on stage. Everyone needs to be present and on time and in their blue band T-shirt.

Band Banquet 2025
DON'T MISS OUT ON BAND BANQUET 2025! PURCHASE YOUR TICKET BY APRIL 27TH!
Band Banquet is a time for us to gather & celebrate all that Mustang Band has accomplished in 2024-2025. Students, directors, parents and family members are invited to attend. The evening includes awards, speeches, Senior recognition, dinner and dancing!
Tickets are $40 per person. Seniors are free. Seniors who bring a date must purchase a ticket for their date unless the date is a GHS Band Senior. Everyone attending needs to complete registration to reserve your seat.
Payment is due by the end of the day on April 27, 2025. Seat selection will take place after ticket sales close. You must be registered and paid in full to select your seat. Tables for seniors will be reserved on the front row. Most tables seat 10 people and a few will be for 8. Organize your group now to be ready before seat selection day.
PARENTS: You are invited and encouraged to attend the dinner and awards portion. Do not listen to your children when they say you shouldn't come. We are a band family and it's a great time to celebrate the 2024-25 band year.
Dress is "dress your best."

Grapevine Band Booster Scholarship Application
The Grapevine Mustang Band will award several scholarships to eligible high school seniors currently enrolled in the band program (band or guard). The applicant needs to be enrolled as a full time student for the Fall of 2025 semester to an accredited college, university, or trade school.

Fine Arts Signing Day
If you have received and accepted a scholarship for Fine Arts, we would like to invite you to the Annual GCISD Fine Arts Signing Day on Tuesday April 29th at 7pm.
If you are planning on majoring in a fine art OR accepting a fine art scholarship, please join us!
Note: You DO NOT have to be majoring in a Fine Art to participate in this event. For example:
Major: Engineering
Fine Art: Scholarship to play Trombone in the University Band
Students who participate will have their own table available to decorate with the colors of their future school. Each student will come to the main table, have a few words spoken about them, sign, and have their picture taken.
Main Street Fest 2025
It is time to sign up for shifts for the 41st Annual Main Street Fest.
Earn $12 per hour towards your band fees while helping out and managing the gates to the festival. Below is the information for signing up.

Trumpet Camp Opportunity
One of the best trumpet teachers in the DFW area, Steve Gulledge, is hosting his annual summer trumpet camp at Keller High School June 23rd-26th
Middle School session is from 10:00am - 12:30pm Monday - Thursday
High School session is from 1:30pm - 4:00pm Monday - Thursday
The cost of our camp for the week is $225
Students will focus on addressing fundamental weakness' and appropriate pedagogical material will be provided.
Students are encouraged to sign up now/early and pay later.

North East Orchestra of Tarrant County Solo Contest
Each season the NEO holds a high school solo competition where the winner receives a $500 scholarship and the opportunity to be the featured soloist on our season finale concert in May.

If you plan on going to any Frisco RoughRiders games this summer, The GHS Band will receive $5 for any ticket purchased using this link.
PTSA
The GHS PTSA gathers all of our parent volunteer hours every month. No time is too little to submit- if you volunteered even a half hour handing out popsicles, they want to know!
This will be the same link you will submit your volunteer hours to every month (by the 10th).

The Grapevine High School Band has over 90% of students enrolled in private lessons. It is such an important part of our student's musical development!

Students/Parents should login and double check their profile on CutTime is correct. Login assistance can be found here. CutTime is one of our primary forms of communication and it is important to have accurate information. As we graduate students into the next grade, please verify that your school and grade are correct. CutTime is not an option to make a band payment.
