Happy March, Rainiers!
Dear Columbia Crest Families,
Happy March! Spring is almost here and we can’t wait to see the flowers begin to bloom. Spring brings about new life, new opportunities and new learning.
The picture above was the kickoff to our kindness campaign as we threw kindness like confetti during our recent monthly assembly. Teaching kindness is more important than ever. Kindness was our theme for our character trait last month and we will continue to focus on being kind in thought and action for the month of March.
Reading Incentive for March: watch for details regarding a Student Council planned “Let's Get Reading” program for March. They have created a Medieval themed way for students in grades one through eight to be involved by tracking their pages and building a class castle.
Students who attend Columbia Crest are very busy people. We would like to hear from you about activities in which your children participate or honors they have earned that occur after school. Please email their participation information to Ms. Fitzer and we will recognize them at our next assembly.
Respectfully,
Principal Shew

With sustainability we can extend the life of plants by using them to their greatest capacity. Let's look at plant use in many ways. Plants can be food, clothing dye and even art. We will work together and discover just how many uses plants provide for our bodies and enjoyment.
If you want to sign your child up, please email Ms. Fitzer at l.fitzer@eatonville.wednet.edu
Office Reminders
- Remember to dress your child appropriately for our weather. Indoor recess will only be when extreme conditions happen. Please have an extra set of clothes in your child’s backpack. We are in desperate need of donations of sweatpants and gym shoes.
- Keep our “Lost and Found” empty by writing your child’s name on all belongings. Items are donated after our monthly assembly.
- Students need to be on campus no later than 7:40 a.m. as class begins by 7:45 a.m.
- Students learn most when they are IN class. Do your best to eliminate vacations and time away from school to enhance your child’s learning this school year.
- Be sure to sign your child in if they are tardy and sign them out if you need to remove your child from school.
