"Testing Season Is Here"
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Can you believe that we are already 2 months into the new year? It seems just like yesterday we were ringing in the New Year with our family and friends. Given the frequency in which we are seeing Mondays, it is imperative that we keep our eye on the prize.
Not only is February "Black History Month", it is also the beginning of state testing. More than 70% of our students will take their TELPAS assessment the week of February 7th. We will also have 7th graders take a STAAR Reading Field Test on February 15th.
Since testing season is upon us, we need your partnership now more than ever. Please partner with us by:
- Making sure your child attends school every day he/she is feeling well.
- Monitoring your child's grades in Skyward.
- Contacting your child's teachers if you have any concerns.
- Making sure your child completes all assignments.
- Attend our Curriculum Night on Tuesday, February 22nd at 6 pm-7 pm.
With your support, we are confident our students will be successful now and in the future.
Your igKNIGHTed Principal,
Dr. HP Hyder, III
