I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support our Trunk and Treat event on Friday. It was wonderful to see so many of you enjoying the festivities and creating lasting memories together. Your participation truly made the evening special.
I also want to express my gratitude for the support shown during our celebration for Ms. Rak’s retirement. It was a beautiful way to honor her many years of dedication and service to our school. Your presence and kind words meant so much to her and our entire community.
Thank you for continuously making Lincoln such a supportive and vibrant place. We look forward to many more wonderful events together.
A Note of Gratitude
As we enter November in a few days, it's a time to reflect on what we are thankful for. We invite our valued families and educational community to share what—and who—you appreciate at Lincoln Elementary School. Your messages can be for anyone: teachers, custodians, office staff, bus drivers, clinic staff, educational aides, or support staff. Whether it’s a group or a specific individual, your expressions of gratitude mean the world.
Please take a moment to share your thanks. Your kind words will make a big impact on our school’s culture and climate, and I’ll make sure to pass along each message to our dedicated staff members.
Thank you for helping us recognize and celebrate our amazing team!
Cognitive Ability Assessment - Grade 2 and Grade 5
Our students in grade 2 and grade 5 will take a cognitive abilities assessment called the Naglieri Nonverbal Abilities Assessment in November. Grade 2 students will take this assessment on November 6 and grade 5 students will take this assessment on November 13. This assessment is used for gifted identification.
Veterans Day
As we approach Veterans Day, we are excited to announce a special project at Lincoln Elementary that allows our students to honor the brave men and women who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. This year, we will be creating "Veterans Tribute Flags," where each student can celebrate a family member or friend who is a veteran.
The flags will be displayed during our Veterans Day celebration, showcasing the contributions of our honored veterans. We encourage each student to participate by creating a flag that includes a photo of their veteran or active-duty service member.
Flags will be sent home in folders the week of Oct 21st. Please ensure that your child returns their completed flag by November 8th so we can prepare for our celebration. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about the importance of service and sacrifice while expressing their appreciation for those who have defended our freedoms.
We encourage all students to wear red, white, and blue on Nov. 11th.
Thank you for your support in making this a meaningful tribute to our veterans. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
For veterans and active military personnel:
Please return a paper form if you would like to attend or fill out this google form:
We will have a light breakfast at 8:30am and you will be invited to a classroom to be honored at 9:00. You can decide if you if you want to attend the breakfast and classroom, or just one part.
Car Loop Reminders
Please use the car loop for morning drop off. The front door is for walkers and bike riders ONLY.
Use only the curb lane until teachers arrive, which is around 7:50. The double line starts ONLY when teachers are there to supervise.
Please pull all the way up to the car in front of you so more cars can let out.
