Signing up for the SAT
Many of you have been asking about signing up to take the SAT and accessing fee waivers. You no longer need to obtain a waiver code from Mrs. Fineman-McKinney to get the SAT fee waived. Below you will find the steps to apply for a test waiver.
1. Make sure you have a College Board account created: https://www.collegeboard.org/
2. Login to your College Board account
3. In the top right corner you will see an icon that says Hi _____ (insert your name). Click on this
4. Click on MY SAT
5. There will be a link for Fee Waiver Information. Click the link and then follow the steps to apply
6. Fill out the form, and then fill out the sign-up for a test date
7. It will take College Board 1-2 weeks to email you and let you know if you received the waiver or not
8. If you are denied a waiver but believe you should have received one, email your counselor for next steps
Please let us know if you have any questions. Taking the SAT is not required for all colleges and it is your choice if you want to take the test or not. FP does not offer a school day test, and you will have to arrange your own testing.

CROSS COUNTRY TEAM OF THE MONTH
Please congratulate our Franklin Pierce Boys Varsity Cross Country Team.
They were selected by the WIAA as the 2A Team of the Month for their outstanding performance on the course and in the classroom
The top four boys on the team are all Seniors, each bringing their unique strengths to the season. Seniors Erik Kramarevskiy and Alex Venable are both pursuing their AA degrees at Pierce College while completing high school. Senior Mason Oleson-Borland has been an active Leadership student for four years, serving in multiple roles including Class President and Executive Officer. Senior Cole Hoover, with a cumulative GPA of 3.95, is expanding his learning by taking additional courses at Pierce County Skills Center.
The remaining varsity team members bring a mix of youth and talent. Sophomore Matthew Pulido, who was voted "Rookie of the Year" by his peers last year, recently set a personal record with a time of 18:38. Freshmen Gevin Pfiffer and Sam Lewis have already achieved a combined three personal records this season and continue to impress with their progress.
It's an exciting time for the team as they push themselves to new heights!
