Mrs. Acosta - May 19th, 2025
This past Friday, we held our Joy in the Journey Celebration and what a beautiful afternoon it was! The event was filled with laughter, joy, and meaningful moments shared between students, staff, and families.
Thank you to everyone who joined us! Your presence made the celebration extra special, and it was wonderful to spend time together as a school community.
We also want to say a huge THANK YOU for your incredible support of our Trike-A-Thon! We raised over $2,000, and the kids had an absolute blast riding their scooters, bikes, and tricycles around the gym. Your generosity helps us continue providing engaging experiences for our students, thank you for making it possible!
Throughout the week, the children have also been busy rehearsing for our upcoming Graduation Ceremony. From practicing songs to getting ready for their special roles, they’ve been working hard, and we can’t wait for you to see it all come together!
These final weeks are full of celebration, gratitude, and joyful memories. Thank you for being such an important part of it all.
Coming Up This Week in Pre-K!
As we enter our final two weeks of school, we’ll continue reviewing important academic skills while also getting ready for our big Graduation Program!
In literacy, we’ll focus on reviewing high-frequency words, practicing CVC word reading, rhyming, and letter sounds. In math, we’ll reinforce addition and subtraction up to 10, teen numbers, and comparing quantities. We’ll also continue practicing letter and number writing to strengthen fine motor and writing skills.
Each day will include graduation practice, as we prepare songs and special surprises for our celebration!

Reminder: Let’s Celebrate Our Kindergarten Graduates!
We’re excited to remind you about our upcoming “Big Step Forward” celebration happening on Thursday, May 29 at 3:00 PM.
This special event marks a big moment for our kindergarteners as they prepare to leave the ECC building and move into the Main Building (Ian Building) next school year. To celebrate this important transition, we’re creating a joyful send-off full of love and encouragement and we’d love for you and your child to be part of it!
Here’s how you can participate:
Make a sign (examples: "You Did It!", "We’re Proud of You!", "Go Kinders!")
Bring a noisemaker — clappers, pom-poms, bells, etc.
Line the pathway between the ECC and the Ian Building to cheer, clap, and celebrate as the kindergarteners walk toward their next adventure.
Let’s come together as a community to make this a moment they’ll never forget!
Happy (Early) Birthday, Archer!

Last Week’s Highlights
Look at Our Little Gardeners!
We had such a fun and hands-on week learning about how plants grow! The kids each made their own mini greenhouse so they could see germination up close. It was so exciting watching the seeds sprout right before our eyes!
After that, we took our sprouts outside and carefully planted them in soil. The children loved digging, planting, and giving their little plants a new home. It was a great way to bring our learning to life, and they were so proud of their hard work!
Dancing with Mrs. Modrzejewski!
We had a very special guest in our classroom this week, Mrs. Modrzejewski, Abi’s mom from Kindergarten! She’s a dance teacher and came to lead us in a super fun and interactive dance class.
The kids had a blast moving, grooving, and learning new dance steps. What made it even more special was how she connected our classroom learning to movement, we even practiced 3D shape moves as part of the fun!
Thank you, Mrs. Modrzejewski, for bringing so much energy, creativity, and joy to our day!
Trike-A-Thon Fun & Success!
Our Trike-A-Thon was a huge hit! The gym turned into a track filled with bikes, scooters, and tricycles as the children zipped around with big smiles. They had an amazing time riding and cheering each other on.
But the fun didn’t stop there, we're thrilled to share that we raised over $2,000! Your generosity and support help us provide even more enriching experiences for our students.
Thank you to all the families who contributed, cheered us on, and helped make this event such a success. We are so proud of our little riders!
Balloon Countdown Fun!
Our balloon countdown is in full swing, and it’s hard to believe we only have 9 days left in the school year! Each morning, the children eagerly gather around, excited to see what surprise the day will bring.
From silly games to special treats, they’ve loved every moment. And one of those balloons is hiding a piñata day, but no one knows which one! The anticipation is half the fun.
We’re soaking up every last bit of joy as we head into the final stretch of this wonderful year.
