MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
CHS Families and Students,
Fall is officially here—my favorite season—and I’m looking forward to what will hopefully be a Browns VICTORY this weekend!
It has been another successful week at Chardon High School. With just three weeks left in the first grading period, please remind your student to check and review their grades. It’s important that they stay on top of their work as we approach the end of the grading period.
AM TRAFFIC
I wanted to take a moment to address a few important changes regarding morning drop-off.
Due to safety concerns, we made some adjustments this week. Last week, there were two accidents which prompted discussions with our transportation department and members of the community. As a result, the bypass in front of CELC will no longer be an option as a pass lane. I want to thank Officer Elam for assisting with this change by blocking access this past week. Moving forward, cones will be used to ensure the area remains closed to vehicles.
Additionally, I’ve noticed several parents are dropping students off along Maple Avenue. For safety reasons, this should not be happening. Please follow the traffic patterns we’ve outlined below to ensure a safe and efficient process for everyone.

TOPPER DOGS
We will be serving TOPPER DOGS again this Friday starting at 6:45 AM.
SCHEDULE
Normal schedule next week.
Enjoy your weekend.
~ Mr. Tomco
This past Thursday, the CHS volleyball teams hosted an incredible event—Crazy for a Cure—in partnership with the Eastlake North volleyball teams. Together, they raised funds to support the fight against cancer, and the night was a huge success.
A highlight of the evening was honoring two of our own: Mrs. Kim Avery and Mr. Al Herner, who have both bravely battled and overcome cancer in recent years. The event was a powerful reminder of the strength and support that defines the Chardon community.
Great atmosphere!
Mr. Herner and Mrs. Avery

CLSD PARENT STUDENT HANDBOOK
Please click the banner below to review the updated and recently Board of Education-approved CLSD Parent-Student Handbook. This handbook is published annually to help ensure a safe and productive learning environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors. It outlines students' rights, responsibilities, and the consequences for misbehavior. Included in the district handbook is an addendum specific to Chardon High School. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the school administration.
HILLTOPPER MIND'S MATTER
Hilltoppers Minds Matter is doing a candy gram fundraiser at the football game on October 4th. Parents of high school and middle school students will have the opportunity to send a candy gram to their student by purchasing the candy grams at the game on Friday night! All proceeds will go to Morgans Message, an organization that collaborates with student-athlete ambassadors to break the stigma and raise awareness around mental health.
In addition to candy grams HMM is going to be raffling off a few items, at the October 4th game, one of which being a fantastic bucket of car wash gift cards and supplies. Donated by Zappy’s Auto Wash.
