For those students who signed up for the Suit Up event, it will be on March 9, 2024 at time: 9:00 AM.

SENIORS
As we head into our final months of the 2024-25 school year, please be aware of the following senior activities that will be taking place, along with the requirements. If there are any questions, please contact the main office at (626) 396-5620 for clarification.
Advisory Announcements for seniors: Wednesdays @ 12:00PM
Senior Defense Presentations: March 5-8, 2024 Possibly 3/12
Seniors need to present on one of the three dates. Students who do not present, will need to schedule an appointment with Dr. Torres, to discuss options.
Work Based Learning/Community Service Hours: Verification forms need to be completed by the student and turned into the main office within one calendar month from the last day of service.
220 grad track = 40 hrs required 170 grad track = 60 hrs required
Prom: May 17th 6:00pm to 11:pm @ Franklin 527 Ventura St. Altadena, Ca. 91001
Grad Night: Disneyland, $139 per ticket - May 22, 2024
Ticket money is due to the main office by March 20, 2024. No change or refunds can be issued once payments are made to the park. The bus will leave from Rose City at 2:00 PM and return at 3:00 AM. the next day. Students may not drive separately to the park. Students must be on the bus to enter the park as a group.
Senior Portraits: April 23, 2024 and April 30, 2024 @ 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Package: $20.00 cash ONLY, 8 photos 4”x 6” and 4 wallet sized, 1 large 8” x 10”
Graduation Ceremony: May 30, 2024 @ 2:00 PM (Graduating seniors only)

Students must submit a clearance form, issued by counselor for ALL graduation requirements by 3:30 PM, May 24, 2024
Cap and Gown/Ticket Pick up: Once students have academic clearance, they may pick up their cap and gown and graduation tickets from the main office.
Graduation Rehearsal: To be announced (Graduating seniors only)
The District AAPC meets Tuesday, March 5th at 6pm. This meeting will be virtual (see link below).
Join us to discuss the importance of centering Black student belonging in school!
We are excited to hear from guest speaker Dr. Tyrone Howard, Professor at UCLA's School of Education and the President of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), speaking on the importance of centering Black student belonging in school.
We will hear from 3 local summer programs that center Black youth:
Harambee
Freedom School
UCLA VIP's
We will create space for parents and community members to brainstorm ways to create a deeper sense of belonging for Black PUSD students
We look forward to seeing on Tuesday, March 5th from 6-8pm as we continue this educational and racial justice work together!

Cash for College
Worried about being able to afford college? Attend a “Cash for College” webinar organized by the California Student Aid Commission. These webinars will provide students and their families information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA).
