RAMS Play: Newsies!
Grades 3-5 attended a preview today of the RAMS Re-Act Players musical "Newsies"! Set in turn-of-the century New York City, "Newsies" is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right! Filled with intricate and exciting songs and dances, the RAMS cast has worked hard to put on show to remember. This Disney film turned Tony-winning Broadway hit based on a true story, inspires everyone to fight for what's right and seize the day. This was just a sampling of the musical. If they would like to see the show in its entirety with lost more outstanding numbers. Show times are Friday, April 5th at 7pm (but are close to being sold out), April 6th Saturday matinee at 2pm and evening show at 7pm and the Sunday April 7th Matinee at 2pm. A QR code for tickets is below.
Laps at Lunch- Spring 2024: Volunteers Needed!
Laps at Lunch is a program that will provide Miller school students with an opportunity to move their bodies, connect with friends, and relieve stress during their lunch period on specific days this spring. We ran this program in the fall with GREAT SUCCESS because of our volunteers and now that the weather is warming up we’d like to offer this opportunity to students again!
Let’s come together as a community and show our children that we care about their health and wellness! All volunteers must have an active CORI on file.
Please click here to sign up!
We will follow the time schedule below on the designated days for Laps at Lunch noted in the sign-up.
