Getting to Know You!
It was a beautiful day!
The new Mustangs of Andrews Middle School came together on August 22nd to get to know life as a middle schooler. Students met in a homeroom and played Human Bingo to get to know each other a bit better. They also had the chance to talk to their student mentors about what life is like at Andrews Middle School. Students navigated the building while touring the many areas that they will have classes and other activities. Finally, the Principal and Assistant Principal shared some of the routines and expectations students will need to know to be successful. We can't wait for our new students to become part of the Andrews Mustang community.
Bus Schedules & Important Information
Please find the bus schedules by clicking this link. The middle school routes begin on Slide 4.
Students are expected to maintain appropriate behavior on the bus as outlined in this document.
Finally, please be sure to tell your student that it is very important for them to know the Route Number and Bus Number they get on in the morning so that they remember what bus to get on in the afternoon. We do not have the latest bus lists at all times and this can be an important piece of information for your student to know.
Student Schedules
Students will receive a copy of their schedule in Homeroom on the first day of school. We acknowledge that it is often confusing for a parent to read and understand schedules at the middle school level as you do not have the benefit of the teacher reviewing them with you. Prior to your student coming home on the fist day we will not be making any changes to schedules. What you see in School Brains may not be the current schedule. After the first day of school, should you have any questions or requests for class changes we will be honoring these on a priority and first come basis. In order to have your schedule reviewed with a counselor at the school please complete this form and indicate your schedule concerns.
Parent Homework
On the first day of school your student will be bringing home several documents for your review and completion. In addition, please complete the following forms to provide some important information with us. Please take a moment and ask your student for these. If you have any questions, need translated documents, or assistance completing these please contact us.

Join Us!
The PTO is an essential part of the community at Andrews Middle School and WE NEED YOU! Please join us for our first meeting on September 9th at 6:30. We will discuss the many events and ways that we assist in providing opportunities for the students and teachers. We look forward to seeing you.
School Lunch
School breakfast and lunch will again be free for all students in the Medford Public Schools and across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We are grateful to the local and state officials who successfully advocated on behalf of our students to continue the practice of free lunch for all students, and we encourage all families to participate in our school lunch program this year.
For students who wish to purchase additional items, such as a second lunch, payments may still be made via check (preferred) or cash submitted to cafeteria personnel in the schools. Or parents can sign up for an account at family.schoolcafe.com, and/or download the free app on the App store or Google Play store. The SchoolCafe Family Hub allows parents/caregivers to add money to their student's account using a credit or debit card. An online account allows the addition of funds online via the secure website; monitoring student balances; and transferring balances between students within the same account. A student LASID is required to set up an account. Please email meals@medford.k12.ma.us with any issues or questions.
