Warrior News
A Weekly Newsletter for Warrior Families and Students
January 17, 2025
Greetings Warrior Families and Friends,
One of the highlights of the year was our Freshman Orientation Night on Wednesday. It was incredibly exciting to see our future Warriors learn about MHS and think about the next step of their educational journey.
The biggest highlight of the event (besides our drumline, choir, etc.) was listening to our three student speakers talk about their positive high school experience. These speakers highlighted the great opportunities at MHS and gave sage advice.
The graphic above was a slide that I shared at Orientation to support my bold claim that we are the BEST high school in Wisconsin. The awards and accolades received by MHS are the result of our amazing students, our talented staff, and great parent partnerships.
It is an honor to be a part of such a great high school and school district. #proudWarrior
Have an amazing weekend!
Go, Warriors!
Andy Bavlnka
Principal

Item Drop-offs
Recently, we have had a few students order Doordash and have it delivered. This can be disruptive to the school and we cannot ensure the food gets to the students. Additionally, it is really expensive!

PARKING & DRIVING & SAFETY AT MHS for 24-25 SCHOOL YEAR
From the Desk of SRO Kristalidis:
- Safety at MHS:
- Safety is very important at MHS. One of our priorities is keeping all doors secure. Please have a conversation with your student about keeping doors closed (they should never be propped open!).
- Additionally, students should not allow anyone in doors as all students and visitors should enter through the designated doors.
- Finally, if something seems out of place, please report it immediately to the administration or the SRO.
- New Drivers:
- This message is especially for newer drivers and if this is your first winter driving.
- In addition to the tips on the poster below, an important reminder is that Wisconsin law requires you to use your headlights during periods of limited visibility. Limited visibility means that objects are not visible from a distance of 500 feet from your vehicle (i.e., when it's snowing, raining, or foggy).
- Drive safely!
- *Please take a minute to reinforce the need to be careful in school parking lots in terms of speed, honoring stop signs, and being extra attentive. We have lots of traffic and new drivers. We want to keep everyone safe. :)
- For parking information: Click here (map included).
