INDIANA SAT required for ALL juniors
Indiana will use College Board’s SAT to fulfill requirements pursuant to Indiana Code 20-32-5.1-7(d) for high school accountability. Students may also use scores to fulfill some high school graduation requirements. SAT assesses high school Mathematics, Reading, and Writing standards in grade 11. The SAT replaced the ISTEP+ assessment beginning with the 2021-2022 school year.

Where is the SAT test?
A testing center will be assigned near your home address.
How will I be notified of my testing location?
You will receive an email and a phone call.
How is the SAT test set up?
The SAT takes three hours and consists of three tests: (1) the Reading Test, (2) the Writing and Language Test, and (3) the Math Test. Compared to the ACT®, the SAT provides 43% more time per question: see photo below.
Most of the questions are multiple choice, though some of the math questions ask you to write in the answer rather than select it.
On all questions, there’s no penalty for guessing: if you're not sure of the answer, it's better to guess than leave the response blank.
