On Thursday, we will have a Fall Fest/Halloween celebration with our students. It will conclude with a parade (weather permitting) down Hamlin Avenue from about 3:15-3:28. I shared a powerpoint below that we share with our room parents regarding our Fall Fest. It also has information about Halloween for those who celebrate and want to wear costumes. For those new to Carpenter, students can wear costumes all day next Thursday if they want to celebrate Halloween. They have to be school- appropriate, allow the students to "be students" during the day (i.e. a blow-up T-rex costume doesn't allow a student to sit at their desk), and the students have to be able to navigate inside/outside and be able to do school work. WE DO NOT PASS OUT TREATS OR CANDY. If you are a room parent/volunteer who is running a game next week, please keep in mind that we may be inside or outside contingent on the weather. If we have to be indoors, we will designate a location for each game, whether that be in the gym or hallway. If anyone has questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Right now, it looks like there may be rain next Thursday, but we'll send out information mid-week (Wednesday) about our plans for inside/outside and the parade.

Maker Club for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will begin soon! If your students are creative, crafty, or interested in building and tinkering, this is the club for them. Students enrolled in Maker Club will be placed in one of four, 5-week sessions over the course of the 2024-2025 school year. Please complete the attached Google Form, and Mr. Michael and Mrs. Johnson will contact you about session dates/times for your student. Deadline to sign-up is Friday, November 1st.
