Planning for the Year 6 residential 2025 has begun.
Year 6 traditionally have some time away together on a residential visit. Whilst your child is in Year 5, we need to start preparing now, this also gives you time to pay over a longer time period.
Our plans for the residential visit in July 2025 are underway and we are pleased now to share details with you of our chosen provider, Cumulus Education.
Our visit is scheduled for Monday 7th July (9 am departure) to Friday 11th July 2025.
The cost of the visit is £450, parents can pay in 13 instalments. This visit is being subsidised by the school budget. Children in receipt of pupil premium gain a 50% subsidy.
The visit will give the children a chance to be together to celebrate their time at St Cecilia's in anticipation of their transfer to high school.
Our activity programme will be led by Cumulus Education, a company based in the heart of Swanage. They have an experienced team of group leaders and instructors who are fully qualified in outward bounds activities, they train outdoor activity staff from across the UK.
They will lead the day's activities from just after breakfast to 9pm each night, we will have use of their minibus fleet to gain access to the forest, castle and train station. Our school staff will remain with groups to offer pastoral support and leadership and to join in the activities with the children.
You can find out more about Cumulus Education through their weblink below.
Our school group will be accompanied by a number of school staff with a ratio of 1:12.
