What's Next?
To apply, a parent/guardian must complete:
- Non-Resident Application Form
- FP-14 Form (Section I only)
Additionally, Amsterdam requires the past 3 years' school attendance and behavior records. The parent/guardian must request these records from the child's current or previous school(s).
All applications must be submitted to the Amsterdam School Office no later than Monday, April 15. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to ensure all materials are received by Amsterdam School. This application process must be completed annually. For instance, acceptance for 2024-2025 does not guarantee acceptance for 2025-2026.
Within 10 days of the initial application for the agreement, Amsterdam will notify the parent/guardian of the anticipated date for approval or disapproval of the agreement. Additionally, the Friday prior to the Board's vote for approval/disapproval, the parent/guardian will be emailed the information regarding the superintendent's recommendation to the board. A closed executive session of the Board may be requested by the parent/guardian, in cases of recommended disapproval or waitlist.
