Field Flash
January 17, 2025
Dear Field Parents and Guardians,
We hope you are staying warm with these colder temperatures this month! Please remember we do not have school on Monday, January 20th in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We look forward to seeing your children on Tuesday!
Now that cold weather is here, please be sure that your children bring the appropriate winter weather gear (snow pants, boots, warm coats, etc), as we do go outside for recess most days. Our weather guidelines for the District are pictured below in this newsletter. Please be sure these items are labeled with your child's name.
A few reminders:
- Please review my Arrival & Dismissal Safety email from December 5th. Please help us be good neighbors!
- Winter has arrived - please send your child(ren) to school with winter weather gear.
- Please remember that there is no supervision before or after school on the playground or blacktop. Children should be supervised by a grown-up.
- Please be sure you call the main office as early in the day as possible if your child is not taking the bus home.
Sincerely,
Dr. Courtney Goodman
Principal

Field Family Night (Open House for Current Families)
Please mark your calendar for our Field Family Night Open House on February 12th from 6-7:30pm. I wanted to share a bit more about the event and its purpose.
- Families (parents and students) are invited to stop by at anytime between 6-7:30pm, and stay for as long or as little as you'd like.
- The purpose of the event is for students to showcase their learning; you'll visit your children's classrooms to see some of what they've learned this year.
- Please note you'll enter the building through the main entrance at Door 1, which will be unlocked for the event. You can exit through any door.
- While our teachers and staff will be present in the building that evening, please note this event is not intended to be a parent-teacher conference opportunity. We'll have parent-teacher conferences in March, or you are always welcome to reach out directly to teachers to schedule a conversation.
