BSES Weekly Announcements
3/1/24
Principal Message
BSES Families,
This week our second grade classes continued to "spread kindness and build community" through their canned food drive donations to the food panty, Loaves of Love. Our students heard from Joe Forwood from the food pantry about the impact that these generous donations have on our local community, helping families in need. Many thanks to all those who contributed.
Our fifth graders met with GVMS counselors on Thursday to learn more about course selection at the middle school. There were many questions and also a lot of valuable information shared. The week ended with fifth grade gathering for Sharefest, where we continue to enjoy all of the growth our students are showing with their writing pieces.
Next week we look forward to celebrating all things reading with our Read Across America activities. Please check out the schedule below to see the theme of each day. There will be a lot of fun and learning for our students to engage in next week. The week will end with our Buddy Friday time.
Take care.
Tara Allen & Susan Papson

We have been working with students and staff on reinforcing expected behaviors. One area of the school day that we have been spotlighting is the bus. Please click here to read about the work we have been doing around bus behavior, how you at home can support this effort, and a few bus pick-up times changes.
As always, thank you for your partnership.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Spring conferences will take place from March 20-22. Last week you received a letter from your child's teacher with detailed directions about signing up. Be sure to reference step #2 in the letter to ensure you sign up with the noted teachers.
