West Oxford Owl
November 8, 2024
This week we learned about elections and the importance of voting. Fifth graders shared their candidate platforms and talked how the importance of critically thinking about campaign promises. Kindergarteners voted for their favorite snacks. We wrote about what we would do if we were president. First grade explored pumpkins and their life cycle. Fourth grade went to the City of Raleigh museum to study our state's capital. Many of you came out for our Fall Festival Friday night. I hope everyone had a great time!
A new third grade teacher joined our team as a result of increased enrollment. We are so excited to have Ms. Moseley here, and students assigned to her class were notified Friday!
If you have a staff member that you would like to recognize for Employee of the Month, you can do so here.
