• The first phase of our renovation project will begin in March with construction setup of equipment, construction trailers, and materials needed for the project. This will almost entirely happen behind the building on the playground. Fencing will be mounted into the blacktop to separate the construction area from the student play area. The expected time frame to complete the new addition section of the building will be between March and January 2026. Construction for the remainder of the 24-25 school year will be focused on the addition project outside of the school. This will affect our parent pick-up and drop-off lines. Please see below for those changes.
• The second phase of construction will happen over the summer and run from June until August. This phase of construction will focus on moving the office to the front of the building, the first grade hallway, nurses suite, and faculty room. This phase is expected to be completed over the summer and ready for students to enter into newly renovated first grade classrooms for the start of the 25-26 school year.
• The third phase of construction will focus on the second grade hallway. This phase will happen after the addition project is completed, and run from approximately January 2026 through May 2026.
• Updates will be given throughout the project. The whole renovation project for all of Salford Hills is expected to be completed by January of 2027. Construction questions can be send to Mr. Burns (tburns@soudertonsd.org)

Due to the construction of the addition, the location of the parent pick-up/drop-off for morning and afternoon car riders will need to be relocated. Please see the map below that shows the new parent pick-up/drop-off line which will be in effect throughout the construction process starting on March 3rd. Once the construction is completely finished in January 2027, parent pick-up/drop-off will resume in the rear of the building.

If you have photos from socials, Race for Education, field trips, or any other school events, we would appreciate your sharing them with us for the 5th Grade Memory Book. Please do not send any individual photos or photos of events outside of school. We exclusively need photos (of two or more children together) from events at Salford Hills.

Meetings are a great opportunity to meet other parents, learn about HSA events and discover different ways to get involved and volunteer. Bring your ideas, concerns, or questions to the Board and allow the kids to play since childcare is always provided. We hope you'll join us!

Elections for Vice President and Treasurer will be held at the March meeting. If you are interested in running for either position, please submit your nomination no later than March 11th so that candidates can be listed in the March 12th Wed Message. Email a brief explanation of why you would like to run to nominations@salfordhillshsa.org. You must attend this meeting in order to vote.

The HSA invites you to volunteer at Salford Hills this year! The HSA helps coordinate volunteers for classroom activities, social events, school events, etc. As a volunteer, you are welcome to serve as much or as little as you wish. For example, you can volunteer to help during a specific event, lead a committee, help out in your child's classroom and more. There are so many ways to serve Salford Hills and we would love to connect you with opportunities that would be a good fit for you and your family. In order to be contacted regarding these opportunities, you must join our volunteer list by filling out the form below (you must fill this out each year). There is no commitment by joining the volunteer list. By signing up, you will simply join our list to be notified of events needing volunteers and other opportunities to get involved. Thank you for helping serve our students, families, teachers, and staff at Salford Hills!

5th Grade Challenge students celebrated Valentine's Day in the Challenge room with a variety of logical thinking and problem-solving activities. Additionally, two of our 5th graders tied for the Super Bowl Predication Competition, predicting the EAGLES (of course) to win and being within 8 points total of the final score!

Thank you to all of our homeroom parent volunteers for all their help organizing Valentine Socials for the Salford Hills students.

A big THANK YOU goes out to the Telford Vet for visiting with our kindergarten students to talk about what they do as veterinarians.

We kicked off our Kids Heart Challenge with an exciting presentation about how all students can do really simple and fun activities to keep themselves healthy. More information about how you can take part in the Kids Heart Challenge is above.
