Dear Parents/Carers,

What a busy week we have had at Carleton Park!

Firstly, Key Stage 2 children took part in the PAT Games cross country competition held at The King’s School. Our pupils showed incredible spirit, determination, and sportsmanship, making us all very proud. The children demonstrated fantastic teamwork and support for one another. Cheering each other on was a highlight of the event, reinforcing the strong sense of community we value at our school.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donations to both the foodbank and upcoming tombola. Your support makes a significant impact and helps others in our school community.

As you are aware, we have been visited by OFSTED this week. The OFSTED team conducted a thorough evaluation of our school’s performance, focusing on various aspects including the quality of education, the provision for children with SEND, and the wider curriculum we offer. We could not be any prouder of the children and how they were able to share their school with confidence and pride. We look forward to sharing the official report with you in due course.

Lastly, thank you! Thank you for all the support and kindness you have shown the staff this week.

To attend the disco payment of £2 must be made in cash, children who are not ticked to come to the disco will stay in their classrooms (Years R-3) or will need to be collected at normal home-time (Years 4-6)

OCTOBER

• 18th - Non-Uniform Day - Please bring a bottle, sweets, chocolate, toiletries for the tombola at the Christmas Fayre or a £1.00 donation.
• 22nd - Reception Halloween Craft Session 2.15pm - Parents Invited
• 21st - 23rd - Eco Leaders Spooky Bird House Competition open to entries
• 25th - Halloween Disco - Reception will have a party in their classroom, Year 1, 2 and 3 are in the hall from 2pm until 3pm. Year 4, 5, and 6 are in the hall from 3.10pm to 4.10pm. Tickets on sale now. Children without tickets for the disco will stay in their classrooms or need to be collected at normal time.

• 6th - 9.00am-10.30am Coffee/Tea Morning for Parents with any SEN concerns (Professional will be attending) - All parents welcome
• 12th - SATS Booster Sessions start for Year 6 - Every Tuesday 3.10pm until 4.10pm. Children will need a snack.
• 15th - Children in Need - Non-Uniform Day - Wear something spotty, colourful or Pudsey and donate through our JustGiving link.

• 21st - Year 2 Inspire afternoon for parents 2pm - 3pm - Virtual Artwork
• 25th - Deadline for payment of Pantomime Trip - Wakefield Theatre (Whole School)
• 27th - Reception Parents - Come see a Phonics lesson (Strictly Adults Only) - 9.00am-9.40am

DECEMBER

• 5th - Nativity dress rehearsal - children perform to KS2 to practise
• 6th - Christmas Fayre - Children can be collected from 2pm to attend the event
• 9th - KS2 at Theatre Royal Wakefield - Pantomime - Please see letter on website. Available on MCAS under 'Trips' **Children need to bring a snack for the interval**

KS1 and KS2 Clubs

Clubs for KS1 and KS2 run from 3.10pm to 4.10pm with the exception of Karate which finishes at 4pm

Children are collected from the Main Entrance. For outdoor activities please make sure your child brings a change of clothing to school on the day which are suitable for the activity booked.
