News, Updates, and Reminders
- FY 21 Budget update: As you know, the budget was approved by school committee and now goes before town meeting. I will be working with Colrain's reps to get information out to town residents and encourage them to attend town meeting.
- The district Student Showcase of Learning is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3rd. If you plan to have a presence at the showcase, and have not yet filled out the form Sarah Jetzon sent out, please do so right away. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. This is a great way to show the community some of the amazing things happening in our school.
- On Tuesday, March 3rd, there are three IEP meetings scheduled. Please check with specialists to see if services for your students will be affected.
- Next Friday, March 6th, I will be out of the building for the day. I will be attending a principals' networking meeting in the morning and then participating in a discussion at MTRS with the K teachers.
- Search for a new superintendent: During the month of March, the school committee is looking to hold a variety of meetings throughout the district to gather input from the community about what they are looking for in the next superintendent. These meetings will all be posted and open to the public, so if you are interested, please take advantage of this opportunity. They will also be forming a search committee to help select the right person. I will share more information as it becomes available.
