Morning Car Rider Line
The car line runs very smoothly with little wait time until about 7:45. If you are experiencing heavy traffic, try coming between 7:15 am - 7:35 am.
- 7:15 am: The side door opens to begin relieving the car line. We have limited staff available at this time so all students report to the cafeteria. Only students are allowed to enter the building at this time. If your child requires more support, please wait until 7:30 am to drop them off when all staff will be on duty.
- 7:30 am: Main doors open, students can get breakfast or report straight to class.
- 7:50 am: Safety Patrol students report to class so there will be limited front porch helpers after this time.
- 7:55 am: Tardy bell rings and front porch staff goes inside to begin our instructional day.
- 8:00 am: Students need to be escorted inside by an adult.
Some tips to help our line run more efficiently:
- Rearrange the seating in your vehicle so that your child can exit on the passenger side closest to our driveway. It is unsafe to unload from the drivers side and requires an adult to manage.
- Once you are stopped and ready to unload, your child may go on and open the door to get out before a patrol or adult comes to you. You do not have to wait for us to open the doors unless you are needing an additional layer of support. There are days when we may not have enough staff/patrols to get to every vehicle so we appreciate your patience.
- Always move up to the first staff member waving at you. Gaps in the line result in a longer line.
On bad weather mornings or morning events, we will work with our community on extending the time students are marked tardy. These will be on a case-by-case basis.
Fall Giesinger Snack Drive = SUCCESS
Thank you Giesinger Community! Our first snack drive was a success and our snack pantry is stocked for the first semester. Because of your generous donations, our campus will be able to support all classrooms in our commitment to provide all of our students with 2 snacks a day.
