LTMS News
Students competed in the Ocean County Math League contest on May 16. The 8th grade team placed 7th, with Lucy Wortley as the top scorer. The 7th grade team placed 2nd, with Ethan Sossa as the top scorer and 2nd place individual in the county.
Congratulations to the Lacey Girls Track team for a great showing at the Ocean County Meet of Champions! The team earned 8 medals, with standout performances including Ellia Oehling’s 1st place in the 100m, a 1st place and school record in the 4x100 relay, and several top finishes in sprints and high jump. Great job to all who participated and represented Lacey with pride!
The Lacey Middle School softball team finished an outstanding season with a 10-2 record, winning the B-South Championship. Marley Lombardi and Savannah Wilkins will represent the team in the All-Star game on June 4.
Lacey MS Baseball ended the season 8-5, earning the OCIAL Blue Division title—their first since 2022. Jaydon Alemany and Evan Lavalle will play in the All-Star game on June 4.
The chorus delivered an impressive concert featuring solos, ensembles, and group performances, wrapping up the year with a well-deserved celebration trip.
The Student Council has been busy planning school spirit days, organizing the 8th grade dance, and running a successful food drive for the Lacey Food Bank. They’re also preparing to select next year’s Executive Board and brainstorming future initiatives.
The Yearbook team is excited to share this year’s edition and thanks all who contributed to its success.
Finally, congratulations to all the 8th grade academic award recipients! 2025 8th grade Awards Ceremony Best of luck to every LTMS 8th grader as you move on to LTHS—Class of 2029, here you come!
