Sign Up for Hispanic Dance – Talent Show Opportunity!

I am happy to inform you that we are offering a fun and memorable opportunity for kinder to 2nd graders interested in participating in a Spanish dance for the talent show!

Performance Details

💃 Hispanic Dance Style: Spanish Folk Dance
🎭 Talent Show Performance: Monday, May 19 at 5:30 PM

Starting April 9th, practice will be held every Wednesday from 3:30 - 4:30 PM in the gym. Additional practices may be added closer to the event. Students should bring a snack and water to practice. Parents must pick up students no later than 4:30 PM.

We will have two dance groups

💃 First Dance Group: 13 girls
💃🕺 Second Dance Group: 11 girls & 11 boys

Due to a limited number of costumes, we will assign your child to one of the two dances. Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis. If your child is interested, please sign up as soon as possible!

📅 Response Deadline: Tuesday April 8th. If your child gets selected, we will inform you.

Cost

💰 $15 Dress Rental Fee – Please send payment via Venmo (@Monica-Kalina) or cash.

Dancer Expectations

✔ Dedication – Learn and commit to the dance steps for a successful presentation.
✔ Adaptability – Be open to changes in choreography.
✔ No cell phones – Students must stay on task during practice.
✔ Respect – Communicate opinions and thoughts respectfully.
✔ Positive Attitude – Enjoy practice time with enthusiasm.
✔ Responsibility – Arrive on time, be ready to dance, and attend all practices.
✔ Safety First – Stay with the group unless excused by the teacher.

📅 Weekly Practices – Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 PM: 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30, & 5/6(Tuesday)
⭐ 5/7 – Audition (3:30-5:30 PM)
🎭 5/14 – Tech Rehearsal (3:30-5:00 PM)
👗 5/16 – Dress Rehearsal (3:30-4:30 PM)
🎤 5/19 – Talent Show Night (5:30 PM)

St. Vrain’s Unframed Art Show live at the Boulder County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall from April 15-20

Please join us at the Boulder County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall from April 15-20 for the public viewing of artworks from all grade levels and schools across the St. Vrain Valley. Different mediums will be featured including ceramics, digital art/photography, drawing, jewelry making, metalwork, mixed media, painting, and printmaking.

CMAS TESTING IMPORTANT INFORMATION

As you know, April is the window for the administration of Colorado’s required state assessment. This year, we will be administering these required assessments on the following dates and times:

K-2 and CHOIR performance

Dear K- 2nd Grade Parents,

I hope this message finds you well! We are excited to inform you about the upcoming CVA K-2

Spring Concert, which will be held on Thursday, May 1st at 6:00 pm in the gym. Performers

should report to their home classrooms between 5:30 - 5:45 pm, and parents can find seating in

the gym. Kindergarten and 2nd grade students should report to their classrooms by 5:15 pm. All

students are required to wear their CVA uniforms. The concert will last approximately 30

minutes, and we encourage you to stay for the entire performance to support other students.
