Two-Hour Delay: Friday, August 9, 2024 Updates
Orangeburg County School District (OCSD) plans to reopen schools and buildings on a two-hour delay, Friday, August 9, 2024. The delay will allow for any early morning storm related cleanup, and for our school buses to travel during daylight hours.
A two-hour delay means:
- Students who ride the bus should report to their bus stops two hours later than usual. For example, if your student’s bus arrives at 6:30 AM, it will now arrive at 8:30 AM.
- Car-riders should report to their schools two hours later than usual.
- All OCSD staff members should report at their normal time.
These decisions are made with the utmost concern for the safety of our students, employees, and community. We will provide updates as necessary through email, robocalls, social media channels, news media, and on our website.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Please continue to stay safe.
