Library Books
The end of the school year is quickly approaching, and we have a lot of overdue library books. Our school library is a valuable resource for our students, and when students return their books, it allows other students to have the opportunity to enjoy them. Please return overdue books to the school library as soon as possible.
To find out what books your student has out, please go to destiny.sandi.net and click on the Elementary Schools D-K, and then select Doyle Elementary. Then click "Know What You Owe" and follow the instructions. Your students' ID and password will be the same as their computer or Clever login and password.
If you need help or have any other questions, please contact me at lsmith9@sandi.net.
5th Grade - Standley Orientation
Hello Future Standley Families,
This is principal Bill Pearson personally inviting you to join me for an information packed introduction to Standley Middle School before you take off for the summer. I look forward to sharing a day in the life of a 6th grader, what they can expect, what you can expect, and how to be successful in this new adventure. Let me help relieve your concerns about the transition, give you answers to support your child, and make a positive connection with you. I will be on your campus Tuesday, May 21st from 5:00 - 6:00 pm in the auditorium.
LCFF Forms 2024
The Parent Portal is now turned off for the end of the grading period. Paper LCFF Forms have been given to all teachers for parents who did not complete it online.
Please fill this out and send it back as soon as possible.
LCFF Funding helps provide our school with additional funding that goes right back to our students!
CAASPP Testing grades 3-5
CAASPP Testing continues! The testing will be complete by May 16th and take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8am-10am.
To make sure your student feels comfortable taking the tests, you can:
· Explain to your student that these tests are used as tools to help them learn, and that they should not be anxious or scared.
· Remind your student that you and their teacher want them to try their very best and are there to help, every step of the way.
· Explore the practice tests with your child : www.caaspp.org/practice-and-training/index.html
You will receive your child’s results at or before the beginning of the next school year. The results will identify where your child is doing well or needs more help, so you can better support their learning at home and teachers can better support their learning in the classroom.
Learn more about these tests, go to the CAASPP Starting Smarter website at ca.startingsmarter.org, or review the CDE Parent Guides to Understanding web page at www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/ca/parentguidetounderstand.asp.
The most important thing you can do to set your student up for success is be sure they get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast, and arrive on time every day.
