Weekly Update
Holy Trinity Catholic School September 19th, 2024
Prayer
O God of Creation, you have blessed us with the changing of the seasons.
As we welcome the autumn months, may the earlier setting of the sun remind us to take time to rest.
May the brilliant colors of the leaves remind us of the wonder of your creation.
May the steam of our breath in the cool air remind us that it is you who give us the breath of life.
May the harvest from the fields remind us of the abundance we have been given and bounty we are to share with others.
May the dying of summer's spirit remind us of your great promise that death is temporary and life is eternal.
We praise you for your goodness forever and ever.
Amen.
A Note from Mrs. Longden
As we prepare for the cooler weather and gorgeous colors of autumn, I am reminded of the beauty of the people in our school and parishes. We are a faith family that is bursting with many vibrant gifts and talents that, when shared freely, brighten the lives of those around us. I feel so very blessed to be a part of this school. We have dedicated, hard-working, and talented staff, volunteers, parents, parishioners, and priest in our parish and school that allow the love, mercy, and mission of Christ to thrive and grow here. I would like to thank each and every one of you for the ways you share your time, talent, and treasure to enhance the lives of so many of God's people.
Mr. Rogers once said, "Often when you think you're at the end of something, you're at the beginning of something else." Fall doesn't have to mean the end of summer, but the beginning of a new school year. With a new school year brings the hope and potential of new learning experiences, growth in our faith lives, and building a deeper relationship with Christ.
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden
Theme
Father Patrick has picked a theme for this year for our school:
To Jesus we go, through Mary
During our staff retreat, Father Patrick shared the theme with us and ways we can grow closer to Mary. Mary helps us to know Jesus in a deeper way. Our goal is to continue to deepen our relationship with Jesus, with the help of Mary. We want to follow Mary's example and be close to Jesus during the events in our life.
