Tawanka Celebrated Autism Awareness Week April 17 - 21
Tawanka celebrated Autism Awareness Week with special activities on the calendar for each day. The week ended with a visit from Ms. King and Mrs. Rothman. These two amazing autistic support teachers answered questions for the kindergarten classes and discussed the similarities and differences between an autistic support classroom and a regular educational classroom. There were lots of questions and the children learned how to react and support their autistic friends.
