Today (January 23rd) Carey and I have been married for 25 years! We got away last weekend for a couple of days to recount God’s blessings and set goals for the years ahead if God blesses us with them. One thing that we were both grateful for is you, our Church Family. We are grateful and content with God’s plan for us to live in Weatherford and build lasting spiritual friendships with so many of you. Our prayer is that He will extend our season of shared ministry together.
This Sunday night at 6:00 we begin our Sunday Night Seminary course Old Testament 1. Many of you expressed how much you learned from New Testament 1 in the Fall. I believe you’ll enjoy this next study even more. There is no cost for the class other than to show up ready to learn. The following Sunday night, February 4th, my wife will start a class for ladies - Women of the Word: How to Study the Book of James. They will meet each Sunday night this winter and spring at 6:00. I hope you’ll take advantage of one of these opportunities to grow in your faith on Sunday nights this semester.
Our Ministry Team kick-off will be Sunday night, February 4, at 5:00 p.m. The purpose is for each of our Ministry Teams to regroup and make plans for ministry in 2024. Ministry Teams are affinity based teams who minister to various groups in our church. Prayerfully consider how God wants you to serve His Church Family in the coming year.
