We are very excited to see our learners on Thursday, September 5, 2024. School hours are from 8:55 am- 3:30 pm. We are reminding our families that school starts at 8:55am and the students will be allowed in the building at 8:45am. The Drop Off Zone will start at 8:30am.

To ensure a safe and smooth start to school, we encourage families to take their 1st Day Pictures at home or at the Bus Stop.

Also, a reminder to all of our John Marshall families that they must stay in their vehicles when dropping off/ picking up your child. Parents/Guardians are not permitted to walk their child into the school. There will be cones and horses set up to ensure organization and safety for the children. Parents/Guardians must stay behind the cones/horses as we do not want to overwhelm the children.

If you would like to drop anything off to your child during the school day, you must go to the front of the school and our Armed Guard, Mr. Buckley, will greet you. There will be a cart left outside of the building to place items on. Please have these items clearly marked so we can bring them down to your child.

In the morning, if it is after 8:55 am you will be asked to park in a legal parking spot and walk your child to the door. You will then be asked to sign your child into the school.

If you are picking your child up early you must have a valid picture identification card. Once we check your identification card, you will be asked to sign your child out.

We had many of our families come to our first Title I Event. We want to thank those families that were able to make it and are excited to plan monthly events to help support our John Marshall Community.

Kindly, review with your child how they are getting home from school. If your child rides a bus we ask that you print your child’s bus pass and place it in your child’s bookbag. It is imperative that you review your child’s bus stop with them so they know where they are getting off the bus. If you have Transportation questions, please feel free to call Transportation at 732-452-4900.

Breakfast will not start until September 6th. Children can receive breakfast for free this year.

Lunch will be served on the first day of school if you would like your child to purchase it.

Please make sure you have logged into the portal to find out your child’s teacher and their room number. All forms must be completed to find out your child’s teacher. If you need assistance getting onto the portal, John Marshall School is offering assistance on the following dates:

September 4th from 3:45pm - 4:30pm

September 5th from 4:00pm- 5:45pm

Please go by the Media Center doors and someone will be there to assist you.

We encourage all families to visit the new John Marshall and District websites for important information throughout the year. Families can also stay informed about school events and news using the new Mobile App.
