Wonderment Wednesday 11/06
Middle school teachers across the district recently met with their content partners on the district’s early release Wednesday. These collaborative sessions focused on refining priority standards, developing a cohesive curriculum, and designing common formative and summative assessments. By working together, educators aim to create a seamless and engaging learning experience for all students.
Wonderment Wednesday 10/30
Last Wednesday, our staff dedicated time to a deep dive into student data using Panorama. By analyzing academic, behavioral, SEL, and attendance data, teachers identified students who may benefit from additional support.
To address these needs, teachers collaborated with core teams to develop targeted intervention plans and strategies. They utilized Panorama’s digital resource, the Playbook, to explore effective intervention techniques.
The ultimate goal of this data-driven approach is to optimize our school day and resource allocation to best serve the unique needs of each Schroeder student. By understanding our students’ strengths and challenges, we can make informed decisions to enhance their learning and well-being.
Wonderment Wednesday 10/23
Our educators recently participated in a professional development session centered around Chapter 5 of "Culturize." This insightful chapter emphasizes the importance of building genuine connections with students beyond the classroom. By understanding students as individuals with unique strengths and challenges, teachers can provide tailored support and guidance.
The professional development session highlighted strategies for establishing rapport, such as seeking out "small quiet moments" for one-on-one interactions. Additionally, the importance of responding to setbacks with empathy and understanding was emphasized. By demonstrating patience and a long-term perspective, teachers can foster a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel valued and believed in.

Schroeder RT or "Raider Time"
You will notice your child has "Raider Time" every morning built into his/her daily schedule. This time is dedicated toward teaching students important life skills such as how to handle peer pressure, be an "upstander" to bullying, stay organized in school, and become aware of about our "Every1Matters" program.
Teacher advisors use this time to serve as an academic counselor to their students and provide direct support to families. Don't be shy about contacting your student's RT with questions about your child's academic or school related needs.
