Parent & Family Engagement

Under ESSA guidelines, school districts must provide Parent & Engagement opportunities throughout the school year. Two Title I parent meetings are required annually and three opportunities are required for Title III.

This event will provide an opportunity to meet one of your compliance requirements for the 2019-2020 school year under Parent & Family Engagement.

TEA and the Title I, Part A Parent and Family Engagement Statewide Initiative will offer a pair of workshops at several regional education service center locations during the 2019/2020 school year. These sessions are open to all LEAs and ESCs, regardless of ESC region, and will provide attendees an in-depth review and explanation of ESSA, Section 1116- Parent and Family Engagement, as well as an opportunity to learn strategies to strengthen parent and family engagement programs at their schools.
