Dear Waukazoo families,
Our 3rd grade students were rock stars this week as they kicked off our MStep testing! They were so patient as we worked through all the little kinks testing season brings and worked so hard to do their personal best on the MStep ELA and Math tests. Thank you to all our families as you positively encouraged your students to work hard on these important days at Waukazoo. Next week, our 4th grade students will also be taking the MStep ELA and Math tests. Look for communication from your student's teacher and from the school with more details on dates and how to prepare your student for the test.
The end of the year always comes with many exciting activities, field trips, assemblies, and other events! We encourage you to stay in communication with your students' teacher through the end of the year so you do not miss important information that comes home. Please be sure to always check your students' backpacks for flyers, check your email for news, and check your Parent Portal for important school-wide messages.
Even though March is Reading month has passed, we continue to encourage our students to be reading outside of school. Reading 20 minutes each night at home has a significant impact on student achievement throughout a students' K-12 schooling. We encourage you to ask what your student is reading at school, to read together at home, and to talk about what you're reading. It can make all the difference!
