Kindergarten is working on increasing independence! From getting ready for recess to writing projects and math games, the group is growing in skill! They are becoming more skilled problem solvers and can work together to deal with conflict safely and respectfully. Writing now includes labeling pictures and beginning sentence writing, using letter sounds to write words and working to decide which punctuation is appropriate. Kinders are writing numbers and addition and subtraction equations, counting by ones and tens, and noticing patterns. Reading skills are blossoming! The morning message, notes from classmates, group readings, reader's circle, and books with partners provide practice and discussion!
