The first house wear store of the year is now OPEN! It will remain open until Friday, September 6 at midnight. All orders will be shipped directly to your home. Please use this link to place an order.
Styles are available in both short and long sleeves. Youth and adult sizes are available. If you are not sure what house your student is in, please email the classroom teacher. It's going to be a great year at SCE!
SCE Reading at Home Plan
This year each class is working towards a class goal for at home reading minutes. Classes who reach their goal will be invited to a Water Day in May 2025, as long as the student has contributed to the minute totals. Reading logs will come home each Friday and should be returned the following Friday. Teachers will use this to track the class minutes read at home. Teachers will send updates on your child's progress throughout the year to let you know ahead of time if he/she is on track for Water Day 2025. Each class has a graph outside of the classroom door to track the progress.
If your child is resistant to reading at home, please reach out to your child's teacher. We will work with you to help your child start reading at home. Below you can click the link to read the full plan with greater detail. We are excited to see how many classes reach their goals.

Volunteer at Stone Creek
We really hope to increase our parent involvement at Stone Creek during the 2024-2025 school year. One way we are looking to increase parent involvement is through volunteers at Stone Creek. We are looking for volunteers who want to work in the school, work at SCE special events, and volunteer from home.
If you are interested, make sure you are an approved volunteer for WSD. Click here for details!! There is an annual step for renewal that must be completed before becoming a volunteer.
Please click on the button below to show your interest in becoming a Stone Creek Volunteer. This will help us build our list of who to communicate with when volunteers are needed. We can't wait to boost up our volunteers this year.
This year we will offer the Stone Creek House Games. These will happen once a quarter and allow for each house to have some time playing games outside together and building relationships with members of their house. We will tie this as an attendance incentive for students. Students who are at 95% attendance the day before house games will be able to participate.
We are looking for parents who would like to volunteer to help run the house games. Volunteers can sign up for a morning, afternoon or both time slots. Volunteers will need to be on the approved volunteer lists in order to participate. The link to be an approved WSD Volunteer is found by clicking here. We will reach out to volunteers about when to arrive and what to expect. Volunteers will be expected to work stations and not just hang with their child at the House Games. This is a great way for parents to volunteer at Stone Creek.
Help Us Track Our Community Engagement
Community Partnership Opt-Out Information
Throughout the duration of the academic year, the Wentzville School District partners with community agencies that specialize in providing students, families, and educators with preventative education. Agency presenters are credentialed, coordinated through the District, and under the supervision of building administrators. Presentation topics are targeted toward specific grade levels. All students will participate in each program unless you choose to opt your child out of the lesson(s). If you are interested in opting your student(s) out of the presentation(s), please click the appropriate link(s) below.
If you have additional questions, please reach out directly to your student’s guidance counselor.
THS Football Reminders
If your child is attending a Timberland Football Game, parents/guardians must be supervising your child. Elementary children cannot attend without a parent and/or guardian. Your child should be sitting with you during the game.
Help Your Student Earn 3 House Points
September 16-20 is Tanzanite week at Stone Creek. We will be celebrating the blue house of positivity all week. There will be an activity sheet in the office for students to pick up. We'd like them to use their creativity to complete it by decorating the heart using the color blue, and writing a positive phrase in the box below. Parents are welcome to help if needed. The sheets need to be turned into the office by the end of the day September 4 to qualify for house points. They will be hung in the office to show our support to the House of Tanzanite. Please do not share this information.
Ask us Anything!
Ask us anything! We often see questions on social media about policies and procedures at Stone Creek. We are here to help! If you have any question big or small about SCE, please ask it here. Our front office will monitor your questions and respond directly to you in a timely manner.

Measurable Results Survey
Stone Creek parents and families, please take some time to complete this important parent survey. The survey will close Sept. 30, 2024.
This survey will be given to our families, students, and staff this month, and again in April. This survey link is unique to our building, so if you have kids in multiple schools, please check their newsletter to answer questions for that building.

Reading Success Plans
This fall, teachers and reading interventionists will be conducting reading assessments with all students. These assessments help us plan lessons and identify students who might benefit from extra reading support. In addition, our building reading specialists will work with small groups of students. These flexible groupings are not the same as Reading Intervention, families will be contacted directly by their child's teacher if he/she qualifies for Reading Intervention. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your child's classroom teacher.
