June 4 - Wednesday switch to FULL day beginning at 7:30 a.m. and dismissing at 2:35 p.m.

June 5 - Thursday switch to late start schedule at 9:40 a.m. and dismissing at 2:35 p.m.

Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23 will be half days due to Senior Exams. Please see the below schedule as this will affect ALL students' daily schedule for those 2 days.

Seniors will not be provided transportation for exams; please plan accordingly.

Theater Troupe presents Panic Panel, a one-act play written by Troupe member David Pavelich. Admission is FREE!

An intermission will occur after the one-act and then the Senior Showcase will start at 7:30 p.m. The Senior Showcase is a celebration of our graduated seniors.

ONTV & Dragon Broadcasting are once again partnering to live-stream both Learning Options Graduation and LOHS Graduation at Pine Knob. They will be streamed to two different spots on the web each night and ONTV is carrying the ceremonies live on its channel. The online feeds will be found at dragonbroadcasting.org.

LOHS Senior Yearbook Portrait Photographer, MyPic Photography, is booking Cap & Gown photo sessions for only $25! Each Cap & Gown session runs for 15-minutes and will include 5-10 low resolution digital files and an online gallery for ordering prints. All bookings are final with no refunds and the sessions will be held at their Canterbury Village location. Please note: MyPic does not supply cap & gowns.

Lake Orion Community Schools is proud to once again offer high school credit recovery and credit forward courses this summer to help students stay on track or get ahead academically. Registration closes on June 17.

The Lake Orion High School Career Center is creating a database to assist our students as they explore career pathways. If you would be willing to speak to a class about your job, had a unique journey to your career, be open to having a student shadow you at work or participate in a future Career Day, we would love to hear from you! Work permits are legally required for any student seeking employment. The student AND employer must fill out their portion (in blue or black ink) of the permit BEFORE the school can finalize the application. Work permits are issued based on a student’s age and can be found in the Main Office, Career Center, or on the LOHS website. Work permits are signed by the end of the school day they are submitted for signature. Please plan on at least a four-hour turnaround. Thank you for understanding. So many wonderful and FUN opportunities to earn service hours in MAY! There are events in downtown Lake Orion to welcome guests to our community, a MATH night at Paint Creek, spring clean ups, the Pine Tree Social Night (which is so much FUN), and the Memorial Day race, among others. Log into x2VOL to find an event, serve with some friends, and enjoy these beautiful spring days!

SUN Bucks is the new name for Summer EBT. Eligible families of school-age children will receive $120 per child for qualifying groceries.

Families that are not automatically enrolled should apply for SUN Bucks directly.

Note: Families will be automatically enrolled in SUN Bucks if they are already enrolled in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), or FDPIR (Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations) benefits or meet the requirements for free or reduced-price school meals. In other words, keep an eye out for $120 per child at the beginning of summer!

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until August 31, 2025.

As a reminder, Lake Orion High School is going through a construction period that will change the parking availability for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year.

The lower pool entrance lot will not be available for parking as the construction of the new auxiliary gym is taking place. Additionally, the current student lot will be altered to make room for the community pool parking needs. Additional parking will be available south of the football stadium in the lots marked "D" on the diagram. Please be patient and give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes of time in the morning as we all adjust to this change.

Prom is this Tuesday, we have half-days on Thursday & Friday, and our Television Production Workshop (TPW) class is down to 5 students. SO...we hope you understand we won't be producing any live broadcasts this week!

BUT, we will still have 2 more episodes of LO-AM on 5/30 & 6/6. And we'll live-stream the Learning Options Graduation AND the LOHS Graduation!
