Week 35
Thanks to support of our incredible staff and all of you, last week was an absolute success! This week was a bit more settled and routine as we head into a long weekend.
Students did a wonderful job completing the FAST assessment and Panorama Survey which concludes our screeners for the 2024-2025 School year!
We hope that you enjoy your extended weekend and we look forward to welcoming students back to the last week of May on Tuesday!
Best,
Michaela

From The MYP Coordinators
In 6th grade art class with Ms. Maggio, students are learning about monsters from other cultures’ stories and legends, and then are creating their own. They have freedom to choose the materials that best fit their vision, and must make it 3-D. Ms. Maggio is holding two early works in progress. Ask a 6th grade about the monster they’re creating... and what they hope it will look like when they’re done! They might even make a monster noise for you if you’re lucky! Thanks to Ms. Maggio for always inviting students to be creative risk-takers!

There's still time to share a teacher/staff appreciation! Deadline 05.31.25!
Our teachers and staff are amazing! At ACSD, we turn Teacher Appreciation Week into Teacher & Staff Appreciation Month. You can help! Share an appreciation HERE.
Parents ~ Ask your child if a teacher or grown-up has done something to make their school day better. Open the form and fill it out together or share something you have appreciated!
Students ~ ALL appreciations matter...but hearing your words is especially meaningful!
The form will be open all month. You can also nominate our ACSD Teacher & Staff of the Year awards (presented at our August 2025 staff Welcome Back week)!
Spring Friends of MUMS Meeting - Wednesday May 28th, 2025 - 6:00-7:00
Please join our Friends of MUMS meeting on Wednesday May 28th, 2025 in our Library. We will reflect on the year, make some plans for the fall and celebrate all of the good work this group has done in service to our school!
Student Attendance (absences/dismissals) and Bus Notes
- To report your child absent from school or notify us of an early dismissal please leave us a message on our attendance line by calling 382-1297 before 8:30 AM.
- If you send a student to school with an early dismissal note or bus note they should bring them the office before TA.
- All students taking a bus to another place other than home need a bus note from their caregiver. This note needs to be stamped/signed by one of our Administrative Assistant's in the front office. Students will not be allowed to ride a bus to another location without a note from home that is stamped/signed by the office.
Help Improve our Volunteer Program!
Do you volunteer in our schools? Join Superintendent Wendy Baker for a discussion about how to streamline, strengthen, and improve our volunteer program at ACSD schools. We will schedule a time to meet this fall to gather your feedback. Interested?
