Hawk Happenings
October 2nd - 9th
Here's what's happening at Spring Lake Elementary....
- School pictures will be taken on Wednesday, October 7th
- SEP Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 8th from 3:30-8:30
- On Friday, October 9th, we will be having a special SPIRIT FRIDAY event. To honor students for their RESILIENCE in wearing masks and working hard in September, we will have a "Resilience Roundup." Students are invited to dress up in their favorite western or cowboy gear (hats are definitely allowed).
As a reminder, please keep students home from school if they have symptoms of illness. Many parents are contacting our secretaries about whether or not to send a child to school. That decision needs to be made by parents. If your child has any of the following symptoms (that can't be explained by a known health condition such as asthma, irritation from smoke in the air or seasonal allergies) please keep your child home until they are symptom free for 48 hours without medication:
Fever
Cough
Runny Nose
Aches or Chills
Sore Throat
Loss of Taste or Smell
If you have taken your child to be tested for COVID-19, they MAY NOT return to school until you have received the test results showing the child is negative. Our goal is to contain cases early and to quarantine as few students as possible. We are working closely with the county health department when a student has tested positive so we can take the necessary steps to contract trace and quarantine students who were in close proximity to that student. Thank you for your support.
