As a reminder for parents, boys must wear pants until April 1st and girls must wear leggings until April 1st.

Last month, our students collected 6,600 pounds of canned goods, which will supply La Soupe’s Give a Crock Program for a year. The raffle proceeds will allow program graduates to keep a slow cooker.

We have many talented students here at Cardinal Pacelli. Recently, GiGi B. was selected as Artsonia’s Artist of the Week in grades 7th-9th for the week of March 2nd - March 8th. This was her winning picture.

Check out our Pacelli Panthers featured in this month’s La Soupe newsletter for their incredible support over the past few years. This year alone, Cardinal Pacelli donated 6,600 pounds of canned goods, which will supply their Give a Crock program for an entire year! Additionally, the $1,720 raised from the raffle will allow La Soupe to purchase slow cookers for the spring GAC session. This will enable each student graduating from the program to receive a slow cooker, helping them put their newly learned skills into practice.

Health Information Regarding the Measles Outbreak

With the travel season approaching the Cardinal Pacelli Health Clinic wanted to share a recent CDC Health Advisory. Please click on the links to educate yourself regarding this alert. Cardinal Pacelli has NO known or suspected cases. This correspondence is for informational purposes as you make travel plans, and to be used to make educated decisions about your healthcare.

Per CDC:

• The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is issuing this Health Alert Network (HAN) Health Advisory to notify clinicians, public health officials, and potential travelers about a measles outbreak in Texas and New Mexico and offer guidance for prevention and monitoring. As of March 7, 2025, Texas and New Mexico have reported 208 confirmed cases associated with this outbreak (198 in Texas and 10 in New Mexico). As a part of this outbreak, two deaths have been reported: one in Texas and one in New Mexico. More cases are expected as this outbreak continues to expand rapidly.

Thanks to our Health & Wellness Committee Chair, Stefanie Fitzgerald, students enjoyed a Mindfulness + Movement session during gym class last week. The instructor guided them through stretching, gentle breathing exercises, and positive affirmations to support their well-being. It was a great opportunity to try something new and bring a moment of calm to their day!

Students are invited to share their voices, dance routines, instrumental skills, joke telling and all other performable talents in 2025’s Pacelli's Got Talent on Thursday, April 10th! Please chat with your student(s) about what they would like to perform, then take a moment to sign up using this link.
