North Star Newsletter March 2025

A message from Mr. Horning, Head of School
Hello North Star Family,
Wow how the year is flying by. This week marks the end of our third quarter at North Star and what a year it has been. The last three months have been a blur, but I truly appreciate the questions, input, and forward thinking from students, staff, and families as we move through this merger. On Tuesday night, the North Star Board of Directors approved the merger between North Star and Rolling Hills. This is a historical accomplishment for North Star. Once again, North Star leads the way in the state of Idaho, expanding our ability to educate more families in the valley and increasing opportunities for our students. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we look forward to the challenges ahead, as we know the payoff will benefit our students greatly. We have been heavily focused on this merger in our communications lately, but we want to take a minute and also share all the amazing things that are currently happening at North Star. Concerts, NHS Introductions, Student Recognition Assemblies, Dances, Dances, and more Dances, Tamarack Ski trips, College Athletes signing day, and the start of Spring Sports. We have so much more ahead of us. The next few months are going to be packed, so make sure you’re updating your calendars. Don’t lose the parent of the year award because you missed an event.
Thank you for everything and have an amazing Spring Break!
