Mrs. Doran's Spooky Breakout Rooms
Students met in breakout rooms to discuss different types and techniques of personal writing - narrative, memoir, personal essay. Each group read and created an observations list that ALL students had access to while reading the fictitious narrative Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.

Shout Out to Slate Valley Music Classes
Like all teachers, music teachers across Slate Valley have had to make some significant changes to how they teach this year. In order to follow Covid-19 safety protocols students are not allowed to sing in the classroom. We would like to celebrate our music department who is taking this challenge in stride and embracing their new reality. Music teachers have been seen using bucket drums, rhythm sticks, teaching outside, using technology to compose music, video editing to create concerts, and making other adjustments to their instruction. .

For our next issue, we'd especially like to showcase some of the great cart setups/decorations that mobile teachers have. Send us some "my cart and me" selfies to include in the next issue.
