Belton ISD
Update from Malinda Golden
Dear Belton ISD Community,
There are no words to describe the recent devastating and tragic events that have shaken our Belton ISD community. We have endured deeply painful losses and our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who have experienced grief within their own families.
And, our hearts are aching for the staff members, as well as our friends and neighbors, who are struggling from the extreme impact of last week’s weather events. Many are in need of help and support as they begin the recovery process.
We have compiled a list of resources and services that may be of assistance to you during this difficult time:
Grief and Mental Health Support
All Belton ISD staff members may access the district’s Employee Assistance Program.

Safety Reminders
Power outages continue across our community.
Many signal lights are out or blinking and should be treated as a four-way stop intersection.
Please be extra cautious when traveling on roads and sidewalks in impacted areas.
How You Can Help
This community cares deeply for one another, and we know many of you want to help. If you want to volunteer with the Temple Recovery Taskforce, contact 254-298-5999.
Thank You
Lastly, we sincerely thank the city and county officials, emergency management teams, first responders, and clean-up crews for assisting our community during these difficult times. Their commitment to protecting and serving others is an inspiration to us all. From the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you.
We will update this information should more resources become available and we identify additional volunteer opportunities.
Sincerely,
Malinda
