First Day of School Procedures
We are so excited to welcome back our Coyotes here at The Creek on Monday August 12th! On Monday, we ask the parents dropping off through car pick-up to form two lines and remain in their vehicles and do not park to drop students off. Students should not exit their cars until arriving to the front lanes of parent drop off. There is a map below to assist with parent drop off and pick up.
All students will be allowed on campus beginning at 7:45 AM and staff will be at both the car loop and bus loop to assist them with arriving to school.
After the first bell rings at 8:06 AM, students will report to their 1st period class. All adults on our campus have a copy of every student's first period class as well to assist them with going to their 1st period class.
Once they are in their 1st period class, all students will be provided a new PINK schedule during their 1st period class that they should follow for the remainder of the day. These schedules will also have the bus pass on them for students going home on the bus in the afternoon.
Access your myStudent Parent Portal
Hello,
It’s almost time! The 2024-2025 school year begins on August 12. Access your parent portal for all the information you need for your student. You can communicate with school staff, access attendance, look at gradebooks, etc. It is a one-stop shop for parents. Everything you need can be found at the following webpage, created specifically for parents: https://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/parents
Be aware, the first time you log into your parent account, you will need to complete three items for each of your enrolled students. Those three items are the Parent/Legal Notice Acknowledgements, Emergency Cards, and the Parent Bill of Rights Consent form. These items are necessary for your student, so we have the most up to date information in the case of an emergency, and to adhere to the guidance of every parent for their child. Once the items are complete, you will have full access to your student’s educational records.
If you would like to preview the Parent Bill of Rights information, you can go to the following webpage for additional information: https://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/oll_documents/parent-bill-of-rights
Thank you.
Action Required: 7th Grade T-Dap Records
7th-grade parents, please remember that all 7th-grade students are required to have a Tdap immunization before starting their 7th-grade school year. If your child has not had the Tdap immunization, please schedule a time with your medical provider or health department to complete this. Also, please ensure your medical provider updates and certifies the Department of Health Form 680. You can bring the form and drop it off at our front office or email it to Tami Milner at tmilner@pasco.k12.fl.us.

Student ID Badges
The use of badges will be used to enter and exit the bus will expedite the loading and unloading of buses at school and at bus stops. While students that forget their badges may use the keypad, it does slow the process of entering and exiting the bus. Any student in Pasco County Schools may now download a virtual badge to their phone, further instructions are attached below.
Specifically, secondary schools will print badges upon request by the student, including replacement badges. This means that not every secondary student will have a badge.
Where's the Bus?
Based on either badges, virtual badges on phones, and/or entering of student's ID numbers, Pasco County Schools is happy to announce the return of the "Where's the Bus" feature. See the flyer and information below for more details.

Security Updates for the New School Year
Dear Parents,
Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year! With a fresh year ahead, I wanted to inform you about some important changes regarding school safety due to new legislation that took effect on July 1, 2024. Many of the safety precautions we’ve already been practicing are now legally mandated, along with some new requirements that will slightly change how our schools operate. Our administrators and security personnel have been working diligently to ensure we are prepared for these updates.
Here’s a summary of the key points in the new law:
Locked Gates and Doors:
All gates and access points restricting entry to or exit from the campus will remain closed and locked when students are on the premises.
Classroom and instructional space doors must be locked to prevent entry while occupied, except between class periods. If a door needs to remain open, it must be actively staffed.
Campus Access:
All doors, gates, and access points on campus will be closed and locked at all times unless someone is actively entering or exiting or specific safety measures render it unnecessary.
Emergency Shelter Areas:
Each classroom will clearly mark the safest areas where students should shelter during an emergency. Students will be informed about these areas within the first 10 days of the school year.
Reporting Violations:
Any violations must be reported immediately to the school principal, who will then notify the school safety specialist.
Discipline Policy:
There will be a progressive discipline policy for staff members who knowingly violate these safety requirements.
We understand these new measures can feel overwhelming, but they are aimed at enhancing the safety and security of our schools. We are also committed to finding practical solutions that comply with the law while ensuring smooth movement for our students and staff.
Thank you for your support and dedication to keeping our schools safe.

Parent Consents
We need your help! Communication has been sent to you reminding you about the Parent’s Bill of Rights Consent Form and emergency contact card needed for every student. Within the communication, links were provided to Parent Portal information and to the Parent Bill of Rights webpage.
It is important to complete these items. Otherwise, most incomplete consents will be viewed as permission granted by the parent or guardian.
