Annual Check-In/Update
We have 868 students enrolled for the 2024-25 school year and 726 have begun and/or finished the Annual Check-in in PowerSchool. If you haven’t already, please ensure that you complete the process this week to ensure that we have all of the necessary information for your student.
Schedules
You should be able to view student schedules in PowerSchool on July 30th. Please note that we are still enrolling new students and are balancing out class sizes and therefore student schedules may change.
We will not be taking class request changes. If you happen to see an error (for example, your student has no science class or is missing a class for 1st semester), please email meadowsoffice@madisoned.org.
First Day of School
We will open campus gates at 7:45 am, 25 minutes earlier than our normal daily schedule. This will allow students to get a copy of their schedule (if needed) and walk through the hallways to find classes before the school day officially begins.
5th grade will pick up in the cafe
6th grade will pick up in the library
7th grade will pick up in the outdoor science corridor
8th grade will pick up in downstairs C hallway
For this first day of school only, parents/guardians are allowed on campus and are welcome to walk students around. We kindly ask that all parents leave before 8:25 am when the bell rings for 1st period.
Every Wednesday is a TCT day with a 2:10 pm release.
Getting to and from Meadows
You have three options for getting to and from school. Please be sure to talk to your student about your pick-up plan prior to the first day of school!
Parent pick up/drop off (Pick 1 of 2 locations and clearly communicate your plan with your child)
3rd avenue drive thru lane
Celebrations Church parking lot (corner of Ocotillo Rd and Central Ave)
Bikers and walkers
Remind your student to abide all safety precautions (wear helmet, follow traffic signals and signage, listen to the crossing guard, walk near a curb (not on neighbors’ grass or in the middle of the street)
Bus riders
- Review your home address with your child as well as the cross streets where their stop
- Ensure you’ve signed up for a bus, downloaded the Traversa app, and know which bus your child is riding (and communicate that bus name with your child)
Student Supply List & Classroom Supply List
You can drop off Classroom Supplies in the Cafe on August 5th and the morning of August 6th
Parent Tip
Don’t let your stress be your children’s stress. Don’t put negative words, thoughts, scenarios in their head.
Instead of thinking, what’s the worst that could happen, reframe how you speak and think, what’s the best that can happen?
