A note from Mrs. Forbis
I had the opportunity to listen to Sterling Jacquith this past Friday evening during one of the Diocese's Ministry on the Move events. I learned many things during this session, but one big idea I took away from it was that no matter what is happening in my life God will get me through it, everything will be okay because He will take care of it, and God will show me the good in what is happening. Check out diojeffcity.org for other upcoming events or subscribe to their Monday Morning Memo.
Thank Yous: Our staff was definitely spoiled this past week with drinks and donuts. Thank you to Justin and Melissa Korsmeyer for the delicious drinks from Livin' Aloha! Thank you to Chris and Andrea White for the tasty donuts! We are truly blessed and appreciate your generosity.
Witness Walk: We had great weather for our first Witness Walk on September 4th. If you would like your child to participate in the next Witness Walk on October 2nd at 7:10 a.m. please fill out the permission form.
Football: Last Friday we celebrated the beginning of football season with football team shirts. There was definitely a large amount of Chiefs shirts worn. It was great to see our students and staff support their favorite team. Maybe we can celebrate it again before the season is over.
Mary's Birthday: Our 5th grade hosted a prayer service last Friday for Mary's birthday. They came up with many ways to celebrate her special day and even baked Mary a cake. The prayer service ended with a visit from Mary.
Have a great weekend and take some time to spend it with Jesus!
Many blessings,
Mrs. Forbis
