We Need Your Input!
Professional school counselors provide skill goals-based lessons and theory-based small group counseling sessions to students. Each helps students gain skills to improve social and emotional well-being and improve the skills necessary to take maximum advantage of education and career preparation opportunities. We would love your feedback to help us provide the appropriate focus of
student activities for the year. Please complete our brief survey by clicking on the appropriate
button below.
Professional school counselors are certified/licensed educators who improve student success for ALL students by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program. We lead, advocate, and collaborate to promote equity and access for all students by connecting our school counseling program to the school's academic mission and school improvement plan. We help all students apply academic achievement strategies, manage emotions, apply interpersonal skills, and plan for postsecondary options ( higher education, military, work force). We want to thank all of our NAHS parents, staff, school leadership, and community for supporting us and our program to help students achieve success!

Northside ISD will hold 13 graduations in June 2025, twelve of which are held at the Alamodome. The other one will be held at the Northside Sports Gym.
In addition, all NISD graduations will be webcast live from NISD's website on the day of the graduation. The link will be live about 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
The Alamodome charges $10 for parking at all graduations. This fee is charged by the City of San Antonio, not Northside ISD. They also have a clear bag policy.

Know the Facts about Vaping
At Northside Alternative High School, we consider the safety and
well-being of our students as our highest priority. Vaping among
young people is a growing concern nationwide. We want to ensure that our school community is
well-informed about the dangers of vaping and the recent Texas law addressing this issue. Vaping
can have serious health consequences, affecting both short-term and long-term well-being. We
encourage open conversations between parents and children about the risks of vaping and the
importance of complying with the new law. Together, we can create a safer and healthier
environment for our students, ensuring their bright futures remain unclouded. For more information
visit NISD's Vape-Free website.
