Dear Peirce families,
There are lots of a predictions in my house today about the amount of snow we are going to receive tomorrow morning and the big question that always follows, "Dad, are we going to have off from school?" I'm sure you might be hearing something very similar from your students. While I'm not a great predictor of weather, I know that Dr. Christopher will communicate to families through a phone call, email, text, the district website, and social media. Long gone are the days listening to KYW 1060 waiting to hear your school's number be called over the radio! If school is cancelled due to the inclement weather, we would pick up on Tuesday, January 7 with day 2 of the cycle.
Also, later this month, Peirce Middle School will hold a virtual course selection night for rising 7th and 8th grade parents (current 6th and 7th graders) on Tuesday, January 28 at 6:30 pm. The link will be shared with families during the week leading up to the presentation. This presentation will cover the recommendation process, how to select electives and make any necessary changes before the course selection window closes.
Additionally, Henderson High School will hold their course selection open house for rising high school students and families (current 8th graders included) in the high school auditorium on Wednesday, January 22 at 6:30 pm. More information will follow over the upcoming weeks.
