A Messages from Mrs. Williams
CCI Families,
As we gear up for another exciting week here at CCI, I want to take a moment to remind you of some important upcoming events.
Next week, our students will continue the ILEARN state test. This is a valuable opportunity for them to showcase their skills and knowledge, and we appreciate your support in ensuring they are prepared and ready to excel. Please avoid making any appointments for students, especially in the morning 8-11:45.
On Thursday, April 25, our 6th graders will have a special presentation from Nurse Waninger and SRO Lee. They will be discussing the dangers of vaping and providing important information to help our students make healthy choices.
Parents interested in avoiding stores for back to school shopping, may order all of the needed school supplies for 2024-2025 CCI students at www.shopttkits.com, use account #44421. Due May 19.
Additionally, I want to highlight this week's Ranger Ready skill: self-regulation. This skill is a review from earlier in the school year, check out some of the self-regulation strategies below.
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in your child's education. Together, we can empower our students to reach their full potential.
Complete this form to give a student or staff member a SHOUT OUT! We have so many wonderful students and staff members. Let's give them some love!

Spring sports and Summer time = Sun Safety Tips:
- Use sunscreen
- Apply at least 20 minutes before sun exposure
- Reapply every two hours
- Sunscreen should have an SPF of 30 or higher, be broad spectrum, and be water-resistant.
- Wear protective clothing
- It helps reduce the amount of UV rays that reaches your skin
- Seek shade
- Find an umbrella, tree, or go indoors, especially during midday hours
- Avoid peak sunshine (11 AM - 3 PM)
- Direct sunlight is the worst for your skin
- Protect your eyes
- Wear sunglasses with UV protection
- Hats are great to shade both your head and eyes
