District Digest
Glen Ellyn School District 41
No School on Sept. 7 / SIP Day on Sept. 11
In honor of Labor Day all District 41 schools are closed on Monday, September 7, 2020.
Also, our first remote School Improvement Days (SIP) day will be held on Friday, September 11. While we are in remote, the SIP day will work a little differently. For September’s SIP day students will follow their morning schedule. Students will only attend the classes that they have from 8:30-11:00 a.m. and will have their afternoon off. In October, the students will attend only their afternoon classes. This means that students will not have morning classes on October 30th but instead will attend their afternoon classes from 1:00-3:30pm. We will continue this model rotating each month. Principals will continue to communicate this each month to parents so they are aware of when instruction is taking place on SIP days.
Here are the SIP Day dates through Winter Break:
Friday, September 11, 2020
Friday, October 30, 2020
Friday, November 20, 2020
Friday, December 18, 2020

Pre-Order and Food Pick Up Information
Meal pick up is available for students daily from 11:30 – 12:30 pm. Meals will be provided to students enrolled in Glen Ellyn District 41 schools on dates in which students are required to learn remotely. Pre-order is required for this service. It is allowable for a parent to pick up for your student and it is not required that the student be present at meal pick up. Meal pick up is contactless as safety is our utmost priority; however, you must park and come into the meal pick up area as designated at your school to receive your meal.
