QOHS Weekly Newsletter
Weekly updates & information for Students, Staff & Families
June 9, 2024
Dear Quince Orchard Students, Staff, and Families,
As we approach the final week of this fantastic school year, I want to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate our collective achievements. Our students and staff continued to experience excellence in so many ways this year through building relationships, having high expectations, and advocating for what was needed. I am truly inspired and appreciate everyone who makes QO an exceptional place to work and learn.
We have four days left in the school year, the last day of school is Thursday, June 13, with a 12 PM dismissal. Our current students will keep their chromebooks and chargers but need to return any other materials they received. Students are reminded to pay their obligations and any outstanding cafeteria balances. We have about 15-20 students with cafeteria balances over $25.00.
Grades will be submitted by teachers on Friday, June 14th and report cards will be sent out by the central office.
This summer, we have several construction projects planned, so please be aware that the building is able to be utilized with some revisions. All staff and students are asked to park in the front lots, do not park in the lower lot near the portables. We will operate on summer hours which will be from 8 AM to 3:30 PM.
Keep an eye out for Quince Orchard Cluster staff, who will be visiting the community at various times throughout the summer. We are having 5 cluster "Pop-out" events planned to meet families, provide resources, and hear feedback for continuous improvement. We will have limited School Supplies, Ice Pops, School Swag, Books, and raffle prizes!
More information will be shared throughout the summer but please see the dates and locations:
July 11 - Gateway Apartments 5-6 pm
July 16 - Governor’s Square 5-6 pm
July 22 - Fields Road Elementary 5-6 pm
July 24 - Seneca Village 5-6 pm
August 13 - Westside Drive 5-6 pm
Information regarding summer programs, schedules, and other relevant updates will be sent out via synergy, smore and Remind throughout the summer.
Thank you for making this school year truly amazing. We are always better together and I wish you all the best this summer. Please take the time to rest, relax, and create memories and never forget...We can’t hide our Cougar Pride!
All the Best,
Elizabeth L. Thomas
